When you purchase a Course Ticket, you’re not just buying a spot in an existing class, you’re actually starting a new course at a time that works best for you.
Here’s how it works:
The first person to buy a COURSE TICKET for a given course chooses the initial time slot, working directly with the teacher, either Nicolas Jacobi or Julia Bogatyreva, to plan a schedule that fits your availability.
Once the course is scheduled, it will be promoted on our website and other channels, allowing other students to join at the same time if they want
If no one else signs up, the course remains a private class just for you. But up to four more students can join, making it a small group of up to five participants.
You’re welcome to INVIDE YOUR FRIENDS to join too! Everyone who purchases a COURSE TICKET can help decide on the time slot together.
If you want to be sure everything fits perfectly, you can contact the teacher beforehand to discuss your preferred times and get guidance on scheduling, but it’s not required, as we have plenty of available slots.
Please purchase your Course Ticket at least three weeks before your desired course start date to ensure smooth scheduling. We may be able to accommodate quicker start dates, but three weeks is recommended.

A1/A2 - What are all the rules for?
This course is for learners who have already explored German through apps like Duolingo, Memrise, or other tools, but are now seeking a deeper understanding of grammar. You don’t need to follow every rule, but it's important to identify which ones matter most for your learning journey. German can seem complex with all its rules, but in this course, we'll help you focus on the essential ones. We’ll teach you how to navigate through the rules, so you can speed up your learning process and move forward confidently—both independently and with the guidance of your tutor. This course will provide a clear framework for continued learning, ensuring you know exactly how to progress.
Topics covered: Gender, Word Order, Verbs, Modal Verbs, Prefix Verbs, Tenses, and Cases.

Each class consists of 30 minutes of practical dialogues followed by 30 minutes of grammar exercises, designed to reinforce what you’ve learned. You’ll need a computer with a camera and microphone, and we’ll be using Zoom and Google Classroom for the lessons. All learning materials are provided.

Advanced Conversation And Grammar
If you’ve already built a solid vocabulary and are comfortable in German, it’s time to take your language skills to the next level. This course is designed for advanced learners who want to sharpen their speaking and listening skills while refining their grammar. Each session is a balanced blend of 30 minutes of engaging dialogues and 30 minutes of targeted grammar review. This approach ensures you can communicate more fluidly and accurately. Participants need a computer with a camera and microphone to join the classes, which will take place on Zoom and Google Classroom. All language materials are included.

My name is Nicolas Jacobi, and I am the founder of JacobiTeacher. For me, language is not just a system of rules—it’s a powerful tool for social interaction. However, German is a particularly rule-based language, and for many learners, it can seem to limit the freedom of conversation. But don’t worry—at JacobiTeacher, we focus on the social aspects of the language, and learning how to engage with German socially will make speaking it much easier and more enjoyable.
There are many reasons why people decide to learn German. Some want to speak the language fluently, while others may aim to read, write, sing, or pass a test. Whatever your reason, I am here to support you in achieving your personal goals, helping you navigate your learning process, and pushing you forward toward success.
We can create a personalized approach to learning German that incorporates your favorite topics and fits seamlessly into your schedule. I studied at the University of Cologne under Professor Kersten Reich, who shaped my teaching style using philosophies from John Dewey and constructivist teaching methods. I also draw inspiration from the works of Vera Birkenbihl, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Ayn Rand, Bernd Feuerherm, and Dr. Jürgen Zepp, whose ideas further shape how I approach language education.
A unique aspect of my teaching is political education. Many of the individuals who influenced my educational journey, such as John Dewey and Ayn Rand, have also shaped my political philosophy. While I offer insights into political concepts and their cultural contexts, I ensure that political education remains transparent and optional—it will never be forced or imposed on students. I believe that understanding political dynamics can enrich the learning experience, but it is always up to the student to decide the extent to which they engage with these discussions.
In my classes, I often switch between various teaching styles, including coach-style, activity-based, and blended learning approaches. My favorite method is Hybrid teaching, where I combine online and in-person learning experiences. However, I always adapt my methods to meet the individual needs and interests of each student, ensuring a tailored and effective learning experience.
I teach students of all ages, from children (7+) to teenagers and adults, offering lessons in both individual and group settings.

I’m Julia, a certified German language teacher with Bachelor's degree in German Studies and Pedagogics and a genuinely happy person because I’m living my dream life, though the path to get here was quite long.
My dedication was rewarded when I won the DAAD Scholarship twice, allowing me to study at Saarland University in Germany. Living and learning in Germany was an incredible opportunity to fully immerse myself in the language and culture.
While I was abroad, I reached a high level of fluency and passed the Goethe C2 (native level) exam in Washington D.C. all on my own.
With over 5 years of teaching experience, I’ve become skilled at creating personalized lesson plans and worksheets that fit each student’s needs. I specialize in teaching beginner to intermediate levels (A1-B2), conversational German practice, and exam preparation for the Goethe Zertifikat, TestDaF, and TELC certifications. My students love my lessons because I inspire them to grow and learn by setting a positive example. My students often tell me that my smile is contagious, and they enjoy our lessons because they are always engaging, humorous, and informative.
